This year Porlock will host its 8th annual Arts Festival. Set amongst the stunning scenery of the Exmoor coast, this picturesque village provides the perfect setting for such an event and provides a marvellous programme of varied and quality entertainment.
The Festival was a great success last year and the committee is looking to sustain and build on this. This year, as well as maintaining successful events we have some new ideas and are planning some new events. Again we hope to book some big ‘names’ and already have confirmation from actor Joss Ackland of his willingness to attend. We are hoping to announce at least one more well-known guest speaker!
The Poetry Picnic will be held again along with the Art and Photographic exhibitions and Open Studios. The literary competitions will also take place and the very successful Pub Quiz will bring a close to the weekend.
Literature, Theatre and Music will again feature in the Village Hall together with more for children and hopefully something for the budding singers amongst us.
